Photos from Pehuén-Có (beach) and Bahía Blanca
The first picture is right after my argentine haircut (I really needed one--see the pre-cut photo on the beach). The barber was a really nice guy, descended from Italian immigrants to Argentina, so Naomi took our photo to show the post-cut status. Naomi translated the whole hair cut. -Ryan
The beach pictures are from Pehuén-Có. We had a great day there. Today we went to a small art museum and a history museum, which was completely about Peronismo and Juan and Eva Peron, their rise and violent fall from power. There was a lot of socialist propaganda posters and Ï´ve included a couple here. We also went to this cool park towards the north of Bahía Blanca, which had lots of playgrounds and bike parks (see the photo of ryan playing).
While we were walking down a buisy street we saw a working ambulance stop on the road in front of us and blare its siren. Then these two guys in hospital scrubbs got out of the ambulance and sarted handing out free glass bottles of coca cola to the passers by. Soon (like 45 seconds later) a huge mob had formed distrupting traffic. They passed out all their free cola and then hopped back into the ambulance with their now-empty gurney, turned on their siren and sailed off, cutting lots of cars and busses off in the process. Very strange, unfortunately I wasn´t able to take a picture because I couldn´t figure out what was happening in time, I thought there was some sort of mass medical emergency going on.
The spanish here is slowly becoming more accessable. The accent is very difficult. They say ´sh´whenever regular spanish speakers say ´y´ or the ´ll´sound. Today we had a wonderful lunch of beef, potatoes, and spinach crepes. The people here are very nice and willing to help us with our spanish. Hasta luego! -Naomi

Nice haircut! Seems like you are both having a great time. We're really enjoying the pictures and stories of your travels. Not much happening here except cold weather and lots of dancing. Have a great week.
